Originally from Edgware in the UK, Rabbi Simi Lerner now resides in Bet Shemesh with his wife Rivka and their four sons. He has returned to Israel after spending several years lecturing at UK universities for the Jewish Learning Exchange (JLE).

Simi is deeply engaged in educating and inspiring others through his love of Jewish philosophy and the teachings of Rav S.R. Hirsch. Currently, he teaches at Midreshet Rachel, Shapells, and ITV in Tel Aviv. Simi’s weekly podcast, “Judaism from Within,” delves into the profound works of Rav Hirsch.

Beyond the Beis Medrash, he is a licensed electrician and teaches carpentry to the youth in his neighborhood. Simi is also involved in supporting students who struggle with dyslexia, providing guidance to help them overcome obstacles and thrive personally and in their learning.

What his students say

“You not only inspire me and others to be better people, you yourself are an inspiration. The quotes you have given us can be implemented into our lives and help us with not only our own self worth but with appreciating the worth of others around us.”
